AVG Technologies (AVG) is trading near an all-time high as investors bet on its "freemium" approach to distributing security software. The company, incorporated in the Netherlands, offers anti-virus software to consumers and small business. Customers use the basic security software for free, but AVG manages to monetize this user base by selling a premium security suite, backup or tune-up products and other offerings. AVG, founded in the Czech
