American International Group (AIG) falls on lawsuit news

AIG said Wednesday that it won’t join a multibillion-dollar lawsuit against the U.S. government filed by Hank Greenberg, a former AIG chief executive. There had been sharp criticism earlier in the week due to reports AIG would join that lawsuit. Greenberg’s Starr International Co. alleges terms of the government’s bailout of the insurer were unfavorable.
