KFC Parent Yum Results Hurt By China Chicken Woes
The parent of KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut gave investors indigestion with the late Monday warning that sales in China, its largest market, were hurt more than expected by troubles at two of its chicken suppliers. Yum Brands (YUM) shares tumbled 4.3% intraday to 64.99. The burger chain McDonald's (MCD), which also has a large Chinese presence, was down 1% to 90.03.
