Toyota, Nissan, Honda Sales Still Slipping In China
Japanese automakers' sales in China tumbled last year, amid September's protests and boycotts over Tokyo's nationalizing of a cluster of islands also claimed by Beijing. But the fall-off in December was less severe, indicating some modest recovery. Toyota Motor (TM) sales fell 4.9% in the world's largest auto market, to 840,500 vehicles, the company said. It was that maker's first decline in China since at least 2001. December sales were down 16%
