Vivus Stock Jumps On Latest Qsymia Shipment Numbers
Shares of biotech Vivus (VVUS) jumped 10% in early trading Monday, to a two-month high, after the company reported its latest monthly shipments of new obesity drug Qsymia. The company disclosed in an SEC filing that it shipped 12,978 Qsymia prescriptions in the period ended Dec. 21, up more than 67% from the previous four-week period. The drug was launched in September, but the ramp was a bit slow since it was at first available only by mail order
