As the fiscal cliff and another round of debt ceiling politicking rage, nearly everyone has a potential "fix" to offer. One particularly provocative one: selling Alaska. The idea is we cleave off our 49th state, sell it to the highest bidder and pay down a chunk of our national debt--much like how a troubled business might sell assets to raise capital.
