Dollar gains further versus yen, slips versus euro

The dollar extends gains against the yen as a set of weak economic data further fuel expectations for policy easing in Japan, but is steady against the euro as markets consider U.S. lawmakers’ last-ditch efforts to avert the fiscal cliff.
