The writer: Shon Stanberry (aka Shon Berry), who had already struggled with homelessness, was a third time made homeless, due to Hurricane Sandy. And forced to flee to Florida.
That, however, did not deter him from finishing up his first fiction audiobook MP3--Titled: ‘Black Girls Are Easy!’ A small collection of short stories. A theme that sometimes centers around the funny desperation of Black women.
Mr. Berry says, "My research has revealed that most Black women do not feel beautiful, unless they've garnered the attention of White males." He also added that "some Black women, in their strange habits of low self-esteem, will further exhibit acts of desperation for that need. i.e. Donning a Blond wig."
Mr. Berry adds that he wrote the book out of intrigue of his female characters; and also to further improve Black womens' self-esteem.
He says he hopes to inspire others who have become homeless--and encourage young writers and readers of all backgrounds. The $1.99 audiobook is in digital stereo, and is now available at Shon Berry’s website: http://www.Brooklynbasedwriter.com.
