Astronaut E. Michael Fincke presented the commencement address during University of Houston-Clear Lake’s 5 p.m. Fall Commencement Ceremony on Dec. 16 honoring the summer and fall graduates of the university’s School of Science and Computer Engineering and School of Human Sciences and Humanities. Fincke urged the graduates to “take what you’ve learned, keep the curiosity and examine the world around us” and assured each student that “your vision is not limited by what your eyes can see, but what you can imagine.” Approximately 449 students participated in the ceremony that was held at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Pictured with Fincke (r) is UH-Clear Lake President William A. Staples (l).
