Financials tumble as ‘Plan B’ fizzles

U.S. financial stocks fall sharply in early trade a day after the latest attempt at action on the fiscal cliff fizzled out when Republicans canceled a House vote on Speaker John Boehner’s so-called “Plan” B legislation.
