New Year's Eve in Times Square is an epic event. The estimated crowd of over a million people will be entertained throughout the night by the star-studded musical performances including Taylor Swift. Hourly countdowns with fireworks help to keep the crowds excited as they wait for the final countdown to bring in the New Year.

With 60 seconds to go, over one million revelers will be gathered in Times Square and over a billion viewers will be riveted to their TV sets to watch the final seconds count down to one of the world’s largest New Year’s celebrations. The iconic Waterford Crystal Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball will slowly descend down the pole as Toshiba's Times Square billboard displays the countdown directly below with pyrotechnic accents .

“Truly amazing” is how, Fireworks by Santore, Inc.’s Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Rolfe says best describes the event. “You have the eyes of the world focused on the countdown. I could not think of anywhere I would rather be than on top of One Times Square helping people around the world ring in the New Year”. The logistics of the display can be a real “challenge”. Setting up a firework / special effects display on top and off the sides of a tall historical building in New York City is just one aspect. The safety of the crowd below, the limited distances to all other buildings, the weather and wind conditions, is where months of planning, design, and preparation all come in to play. With the help of an incredible team Fireworks by Santore is able to brilliantly illuminate the sky above the million plus people in Times Square. “Every year we try to use brighter colors and new effects to paint the New Year’s Eve night sky.
