UH-Clear Lake holds spring 2013 open registration
Potential, new and current students are invited to find out why the choice is clear when it comes to choosing a university by registering for classes at UH-Clear Lake now until Jan. 11, Student Services and Classroom Building, Office of Admissions, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston, 77058.
Spring late registration runs from Jan. 12 – 22 with classes beginning Jan. 14 and running through May 6.
New undergraduate students or non-degree seeking graduate students should apply by the priority deadline of Jan. 7. Applicants may enroll in person, online or by mail.

Online certificate courses offered by UHCL center
Let UH-Clear Lake give you the tools needed to succeed in the legal field through online classes offered Jan. 14 – March 1 by the university’s Center for Advanced Management Programs.
Sign up now for courses created to help you prepare for a career in the fast-growing field of paralegalism, from basic legal concepts including the American legal system, terminology and ethics to advanced courses in specialized facets of contemporary law. Legal Secretary, Law School Prep and Legal Nurse Consulting Training courses and more prepare students for careers in law or medicine and train medical professionals for a career as legal nurse consultants.

Community Cinema offers film screening of ‘Soul Food Junkies’
All are invited to UH-Clear Lake’s Community Cinema movie screening of “Soul Food Junkies” by filmmaker Byron Hurt, Jan. 4, 7 p.m., Student Services and Classroom Building, Lecture Hall, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston, 77058.
This event is free and open to the public. Hurt’s film explores the quintessential American cuisine, its history, social significance and effects on African American health, both good and bad. UH-Clear Lake Coordinator of Student Life – Recreation and Wellness Marty Douglas will speak about themes present in the film directly following the presentation.
