PR Log - Dec 08, 2012 - AO Coach and Organizer was started a year ago to provide ADHD coaching to adults, college students and middle to high school students. In addition, one of our goals is to educate families and individuals on ADHD, its related comorbidities and treatment We provide coaching by phone, Skype or in person if you are in the Central Ohio area. Anahi Ortiz M.D., the owner of AO Coach and Organizer is a physician with over 27 years in clinical practice diagnosing and treating ADHD.
This past year began slowly for us but has been building up steam! Our website, particularly the blog, is very popular and has visitors from all over the world. Some of our blogs have addressed suicide, depression, compulsive buying and adoption in those with ADHD.
ADHD coaching is a hands on approach to helping those with ADHD with organization, time management and education. It involves meeting on a regular basis with your coach, working on a set of predetermined goals and developing a weekly action plan. With students our approach incorporates the goals of parents and the student. We work on organizing school work and long term assignments as well as working on social skills if this is something the student wants to work on. Accountability is provided by emails or texts between sessions. For those who need more one on one help with organization, Anahi is a trained professional organizer and can work with you at your home to organize a room or office. Sometimes this can alleviate anxiety someone may have over their ability to do this on their own.
As part of our one year anniversary, we would like to offer a gift for those clients registering for coaching this month. We are giving new clients the choice of one of three books invaluable to those with ADHD:
♦ Mindfulness: Prescription for Adult ADHD
♦ The Organized Student
♦ Executive Function: What They Are, How They Work and Why They Evolved
