PR Log - Dec 08, 2012 - CHICAGO, IL -- To celebrate National Brownie Day 2012, Baked Chicago’s Simply Decadent Brownies Cookbook is available as a free Amazon Kindle book at http://tinyurl.com/bakedchicago4 on December 8 (National Brownie Day). Readers are invited to download the book and find a Chicago-inspired recipe to make and enjoy with their families.
"Brownies are rich, decadent and deliciously simple to make" says the book’s author, Harvey Morris, “They’re perfect for sharing or indulging on your own, making any occasion a special treat.”
In 2007, Harvey launched a recipe blog called Baked Chicago in homage to the city that takes good food and innovation very seriously. Strong reader response to the blog’s brownie recipes led to the Baked Chicago’s Simply Decadent Brownies Cookbook – a natural for a passionate baker from Chicago, where brownies were first created as a special confection for attendees at the Columbian Exposition of 1893.
Harvey is also passionate about supporting two Chicago organizations that tirelessly help those who are hungry and in need of shelter: the Greater Chicago Food Depository and PAWS Chicago. Baked Chicago is donating 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of Baked Chicago’s Simply Decadent Brownies Cookbook to the Greater Chicago Food Depository and PAWS Chicago.
