MALVERN, PA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/05/12 -- Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today introduced new 45 V TMBS® Trench MOS Barrier Schottky rectifiers offering high current density with forward currents of 3 A and 5 A in the surface-mount SlimSMA DO-221AC package featuring a low 0.95 mm profile.
With extremely low forward voltage drops down to 0.37 V typical at 3 A, the new VSSAF3L45 and VSSAF5L45 reduce power loss and improve efficiency in low-voltage, high-frequency DC/DC converters, freewheeling diodes, and polarity protection in space-constrained applications such as smartphone chargers.
The new rectifiers feature a maximum operation junction temperature of + 150 degrees C and an MSL moisture sensitivity level of 1, per J-STD-020, LF maximum peak of 260 degrees C. Ideal for automated placement, the devices are compliant to RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and halogen-free according to JEDEC JS709A standards.
