This celebration of food, music and door prizes is free for family and friends of graduates, however tickets are required. Free tickets are available at the university’s Office of University Advancement in the university’s Bayou Building, room 1604.
The UH-Clear Lake fall Commencement is scheduled for Dec. 16, noon and 5 p.m., at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Exhibit Hall B3, 1001 Avenida De Las Americas, Houston, TX, 77010.

UHCL hosts interactive art booth at Bay Area Art Walk
Bring your inner artist to the UH-Clear Lake Art Gallery booth at the Bay Area Art Walk Dec. 15, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., at the Nassau Bay Town Square, Upper Bay Rd., Nassau Bay, 77058.
All are invited to participate in this free booth hosted by the university’s Art Gallery.

SAT Prep offered for seventh graders
Seventh graders participating in the Duke Talent Identification Program can prepare for the Scholastic Aptitude Test during a one-day workshop offered by University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Kids U program, Jan. 19, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., in the university’s Arbor Building, Suite 1310.09.
Offered in one session that provides instruction on verbal and math sections, this course is designed for students taking the Duke Talent Identification Program on test Jan 26, 2013.

Help spread holiday cheer to children in need by donating new, unwrapped toys now through Dec 10, 5 p.m., at the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots donation boxes at University of Houston-Clear Lake Pearland Campus Library, 1200 Pearland Parkway, Pearland, 77581, or UH-Clear Lake, Bayou Building, room 2537, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston, 77058.
Toys for Tots is a nonprofit organization began in 1947 that has distributed more than 452 million toys to more than 209 million needy children.
