More companies are joining the rush to issue special dividends ahead of higher dividend taxes slated to go into effect next year if Congress can't hammer out a settlement averting the so-called fiscal cliff. Dish Network (DISH), HCA (HCA), the nation's largest hospital chain, and women's retail apparel chain Cato (CATO) announced they're joining the group issuing special dividends. Dish shares were down about 1% at 36.70 in Monday midday trading.
