More than half of next year's expected 5.7 percent increase in global IT spending will be driven by sales of smartphones, tablets, and e-readers, IDC said in a forecast published Friday. IDC projects that mobile device sales will make up "an incredible" 57 percent of overall IT spending growth expected in 2013.
