Opening of “Inner Space, Global Matter: Recording from the Structures Within – Geraldine Ondrizek, Works from 2008 – 2012”
University of Houston-Clear Lake welcomed special guests to the opening of “Inner Space, Global Matter: Recording from the Structures Within – Geraldine Ondrizek, Works from 2008 – 2012” in November. The opening included a discussion between Ondrizek and experts from various disciplines to discuss the context of her work. Pictured are UH-Clear Lake Coordinator of Audience Development Jeffrey Bowen with panel members Assistant Professor in the Genomic Medicine and Diabetes Research Programs at The Methodist Hospital Research Institute in Houston and in the Department of Biochemistry and Biology at the University of Houston Kevin Phillips; Ondrizek; UH-Clear Lake Assistant Professor of Art History Jane Chin Davidson; UH-Clear Lake mathematics lecturer Amy Lampazzi; and NASA Johnson Space Center engineer Darrin P. Leleux. Also pictured is Dominic Walsh Dance Theater Artistic Director and founder Dominic Walsh, who is choreographing a special performance in conjunction with the exhibition on Jan. 23. The exhibit will run through Feb. 1 in the UH-Clear Lake Art Gallery found in the university’s Bayou Building, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston.
