Allstate Sees $1.3 Billion In Hurricane Sandy Payouts
Allstate (ALL) said its total insured tally for damages from Superstorm Sandy were likely near $1.3 billion, with most of that in hard-hit New York. The insurer said October catastrophe claims would reach 1.27 billion, but that it would recover about $200 million from a reinsurance program designed to protect it from losses during disasters.
