XenSource, the leader in infrastructure virtualization solutions based on the open source Xen(TM) hypervisor, today announced the opening of a new office in Redmond, Washington to support their expanding company and products, and recently signed co-development agreement with Microsoft.
The new office will focus on joint technology and market development for the support of high-performance Linux virtual environments on the next version of Windows Server System, as well as the development of additional, non-GPL-based products and solutions that extend the virtualization capabilities of XenSource's XenEnterprise(TM) virtualization platform. The Redmond team will also focus on the performance and manageability of Windows virtual machines on XenEnterprise.
"Creating a presence in the Seattle area allows us to work more closely with Microsoft and attract the talent that we are looking for to help us deepen our Windows expertise," says Frank Artale, vice president of business development at XenSource. "This is an exciting time for virtualization, and we look forward to helping bring it to the Windows market, and inaugurating a new era in volume virtualization."
The new office is located at 8461 154th Avenue NE, Redmond, Washington 98052.
