HP Earnings Face Poor PCs Sales And Macroeconomy
Shares of Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) were up 2% in midday trading Monday, ahead of its earnings report set for after the close Tuesday, but analysts expect slow PC sales and a slow global economy will hurt results. PC sales have suffered as consumers buy more smartphones and tablets instead.
