TOKYO, Nov. 19, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Since November 16th, the several media including Reuters have been reporting on the alleged illegal funding by Aruze USA Inc., in connection with a casino resort business currently being undertaken by our group in the Philippines. Please note that none of such reports are based on sufficient investigation.

In August, we filed with the Tokyo District Court a damage lawsuit against Mr. Mitsuo Hida, former representative officer of Japanese branch office of Aruze USA Inc., a subsidiary of Universal Entertainment Corporation in connection with economic damage caused by embezzlement committed Mr. Hida during his employment with the company. In this regard, we plan to file criminal charges against Mr. Hida on his embezzlement.

During the course of this lawsuit case, we believe that nature and purpose of his embezzlement will be accounted for.
