WuXi PharmaTech (WX) popped 6% this week, just enough to reach a 14-month high. It was also enough to help bump the medical research equipment and services group into the top 20 rankings among 197 industries tracked by IBD. The largest company in the group, both by market capitalization and revenue, is Life Technologies (LIFE). Its earnings have wobbled up and down in single digits for the past couple of quarters. Sales growth slowed, then
