Video game retailer GameStop (GME) beat third-quarter profit expectations Thursday amid a slowdown in sales as gamers await new consoles and big software titles this holiday season. The Grapevine, Texas-based company earned 38 cents a share, excluding items, down 3% from a year ago, but beat Wall Street's target of 32 cents a share.
