(EMAILWIRE.COM, November 15, 2012 ) Birmingham, U.K -- Kate Upton wore a chrome-like trench coat with black bra that caught the attention of many; however, it paled in comparison to the heavy amount of diamonds dawned by the starlet.
Upton, 20-years-old, was posing for an Italian vogue shoot, and was sparkling nearly from head-to-toe with diamonds along with her dressed won attire.
The Sports Illustrated model had diamonds on her wrists, ears, hands, and neck. The sizes of the diamonds were all formidable and none could be considered on the modest side.
Uptons hair was a throwback to the early days of the glamour in Hollywood, with an almost Monroe-like quality to it, full and unapologetically blond.
The silver, nearly chrome trench coat was something out of Blade Runner, and was both reflective and stylish.
The entire outfit seemed an interesting mix of retro-futuristic, which could harken back to the days of Barbarella or Flash Gordon fashion. It was the kind of look that would have been poked at in Zoolander, but was pulled off by the bejeweled starlet.
It has been a good 40 years since it was considered cool to be smoking, but Upton had a cigarette and ashtray in the shoot. This predictably annoyed some who find the catering to the idea of smoking-as-cool to be offensive.
Upton was featured on the cover of vogue for the first time in the edition she posed for. Upton has Sports Illustrated for her newfound fame, as she was given the front-cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue last year. She had previously been noted as unworthy of the Victoria Secret brand image. A move the company likely now would likely distance itself from.
