PR Log - Nov 14, 2012 - According to Mike Cynar, the companies’ spokesperson, MAP is a company that is committed to giving back. Cynar says that “throughout the entire year the company reaches out to its employees encouraging them to help the less fortunate through generous cash and food contributions across multiple causes”. Consistent with that, donating to hurricane Sandy victims was just something the company really felt compelled to do, and moreover, for this company it was the right thing to do. In an effort to motivate the employees to really give generously, on November 1st, the company issued a memo committing to match donations 2 for 1. This meant that for every $5 received in employee contributions, the company would donate a further $10 for a total gift of $15!
MAP provides 24/7 Answering and Call Center Services for a large base of businesses that were affected by the storm and has literally heard directly from thousands of people that are suffering with no heat, no water, gas, food and many other essentials that we tend to take for granted. Cynar says that MAP strives to be an example of what a financially blessed company should be doing, and that’s giving back, and that’s something he says he’s proud to be a part of.
The donation will be handed off to the American Red Cross on November 21, 2012 and put to good use shortly thereafter.
