Retail Sales Fall On Sandy; Wal-Mart Earnings Loom
Hurricane Sandy slowed consumer spending before the important holiday season, causing retail sales to dip in October for the first time in three months the Commerce Department, announced on Wednesday. Retail sales fell 0.3%, ending three straight months of gains including a 1.3% increase in September. Analysts were only expecting a 0.2% dip.
