Apparel Earnings From Gap, Buckle On Tap
The Gap (GPS) was the "it" brand in the '90s but in recent years, the once-trendy retailer has fallen by the wayside. But analysts are expecting recent executive and management changes to turn the brand around when it reports earnings Thursday. The operator of Old Navy, Banana Republic and Gap stores is expected to post a 66% jump in third-quarter earnings to 63 cents per share. Sales are seen rising 6.7% to $3.8 billion.
