LA-based incubator Science is debuting a new service today, HelloInsights.com, which is a platform for Pinterest influencer analytics. Basically, HelloInsights offers a way for brands to monitor company growth, track popular items, and connect with potential brand ambassadors on Pinterest.
HelloInsights offers a free leaderboard which lists the most popular and effective pinners. The startup’s algorithm examines factors including number of followers, pin virality, total reach, and audience engagement, to rank pinners according to their effectiveness as influencers.
Brands’ campaigns on Pinterest can also be managed directly from the HelloInsights platform. Brands can schedule automated pins, Brands can view their real-time presence on Pinterest via a “Live Pin Stream” and create customizable comparison charts to see how they measure up against their competitors.
The HelloInsights platform uses technology from PinPuff, a Pinterest analytics tool that was acquired by Science earlier this year. HelloInsights will keep PinPuff features on the site, including the ability to allow anyone access to a Pinterest handle to view its individual score.
To date, companies in the Science portfolio, as well as a handful of e-commerce companies have been leveraging HelloInsight’s analytics to grow their brand reach. Since February, HelloInsights has tracked over 1 million user acquisitions, 8 million unique page views, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue for companies who have used the platform to optimize their marketing efforts through Pinterest.
Of course, HelloInsights isn’t the first analytics offering out there. There’s Pinfluencer, and Curalate. And Pinterest could turn on an analytics platform of its own.
