Mortgage lenders, regional banks and other financial stocks comprised a quarter of the 16-member Spotlight screen Monday, reflecting an improved economy. Many are just off their recent highs. Financial stocks have fared well as low interest rates have spurred demand for real estate, auto and other loans. Small-business lending has also picked up, benefitting local and regional banks.
