Chubb, Other Insurers Still Tallying Superstorm Sandy's Tab
Property insurer Chubb (CB) isn't hazarding a guess yet on the total costs of Superstorm Sandy, which ripped through New Jersey and New York last month. Other insurers too say it's too soon to tell -- though investors seem to be taking that uncertainty in stride. Chubb, which suspended share buybacks while it sorts through the mess, was up slightly for the week, to 74.75. Allstate (ALL) and MetLife (MET) both reported better-than-expected earnings
