Weight management company, NutriSystem Inc.(NTRI) reported a shortfall in profits, and missed analysts estimates Friday.
The Fort Washington, PA based company reported third quarter earnings of $2.59 million, or 9 cents a share, down 57% from last years earnings of $6.07 million, or 21 cents a share. On average, analysts expected 16 cents a share.
Revenue came in at $81.3 million down 5% from last years revenue of $85.6 million. Analysts expected revenue of $91.5 million.
Additionally, the company’s board of directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.175 a share, which will be payable on November 29 to stockholders of record as of November 19.
NutriSystem shares were mostly flat during premarket trading Friday.
