Roll-out begins in Athens, Thessaloniki, and Sofia Locations
IDeaS, the leading provider of revenue optimization solutions and one of the industry's fastest growing technology companies today announced that Classical Hotels, the city-hotels within Grecotel, Greece's largest hotel chain, has signed a deal with IDeaS to install IDeaS v5i revenue optimization solution at several of its city hotels including locations in Athens, Thessaloniki and Sofia.
"As we began researching various solutions we realized that we needed a solution that was ASP-based thereby allowing us to centralize our data. We also needed a product that would work with our existing Protel environment," said George Smyrlis, General Manager for Classical Hotels. "We found IDeaS cluster yielding capabilities and advanced multiple property functionality to be the most effective among the solutions we were reviewing. This made the choice of IDeaS an easy one."
Located in prime business and holiday destinations across Greece, Grecotel is recognized for the superiority of its locations and the sophistication of the service they offer. Grecotel currently owns 39 properties.
"The Classical Hotels team has been very consistent in their desire to find a solution that meets their criteria for centrally managing their business as well as being fit with the environment they have already made an investment in," said Fabian Specht Director of Business Development and Distribution in EAME for IDeaS. "In working with them, it was important that we demonstrate IDeaS' effectiveness in both these areas thereby demonstrating that they would be in a position to reap the benefits of installing the solution very quickly. In the end, IDeaS was a great fit for their environment."
