Blue Sky Fostering promotes anonymous account of life as a foster carer
PR Log - Nov 07, 2012 - Blue Sky Fostering has stepped up promotion of their anonymously written blog: The Secret Foster Carer.
The blog is written by one of Blue Sky Fostering’s regular foster carers and details the real life ups and downs of life as a foster carer; as well as this, the blog also offers commentary on child-centred issues in the press from their unique perspective.
Fostering can be a tough job but it can also be incredibly rewarding. The blog is completely genuine and covers a wide range of subjects and emotions.
This is what makes The Secret Foster Carer such a compelling read.
Recent posts include a response to a foster carer who feels he/she “failed” one of their placements and general posts reflecting on things like Bonfire Night when you have foster children living with you.
The thing that makes The Secret Foster Carer different from other fostering blogs is the honesty that shines through in the posts; whether the poster is writing about a teenaged foster child who hasn’t come home from a night out or about dealing with big annual events like Christmas and other foster carers who may or may not be judging you.
The Secret Foster Carer will soon be writing some insightful guest content for some well-known fostering sites; gifting the wider community with their practical and sometimes emotive take on life as a foster carer.
Read the latest posts here: www.blueskyfostering.blogspot.co.uk and feel free to make a comment. Comments on the topics touched upon in the posts are encouraged and will usually get a response from the blogger (the speed of such answers will of course depend on how busy he or she is on that particular day).
Feel free to have a read of the blog. Alternatively, find out more about the excellent work done by Blue Sky Fostering by contacting us now.
