Stock Losses Mount In Afternoon; Cirrus Falls Again
Stocks fell deeper into the red late Friday afternoon as uncertainty over the presidential election and the looming fiscal cliff outweighed economic data. The Nasdaq and Dow Jones industrial average were each down 0.9%. The S&P 500 fell 0.7% after edging higher in early trading. Volume was down 5% on the Nasdaq and 3% on the NYSE compared with the same time Thursday. Cirrus Logic (CRUS) plunged 6% in heavy volume, adding to Thursday's 11% drop,
