The run up to Christmas will see the high streets welcome new establishments, with retailers including Toys ‘R’ Us, Bank and Boden opening pop-up stores across the country. While these locations might be temporary, UK Point of Sale is urging retailers not to forget the importance and power of point of sale.
Many large retailers are using pop-ups as an opportunity to test new locations without committing to a new permanent store, and with these sites hailed as a way to revitalise the high street, UK POS is advising retailers to invest in point of sale which will boost sales during especially in the lead up to Christmas.
Debra Jamieson, Sales and Marketing Director at UK Point of Sale, explains:
“We have worked with a number of customers when opening pop-up shops and understand the importance of focused point of sale, which encourages footfall into the store. The retailers’ chosen ‘point of sale kit’ has to work fast and effectively including freestanding items that can work with the temporary nature of the shop, this is so when the shop closes, everything can be removed without difficulty.
“Freestanding products such as Acrylic Free Standing Poster Holders and Pavement Signs and A Boards are perfect to promote offers and display products, and we pride ourselves on working with retailers to overcome problems that may arise from merchandising a temporary space. At UK POS we offer a reactive and reliable service, holding over four million items in stock to ensure that the point of sale kit arrives quickly, so as not to disrupt the window of selling opportunity. With the promise of even more pop-up shops opening in the run up to the festive season, it has become a priority for these retailers to consider their point of sale options.”
