Earnings: Results Mostly Beat from ADVS, PLT, MIPS, FISV, SHOR

There was a gaggle of earnings reports after the bell. Here are the more prominent ones: Advent Software (ADVS) which provides software to the investment management business, this afternoon reported Q3 revenue of $90.2 million and EPS of 26 cents, beating the consensus $90.1 million and 25 cents.
