Burger King Grills Up Strong Global Traffic, Earnings
Burger King (BKW) served up better than expected quarterly results on stronger North American traffic. But markets, battened down for Hurricane Sandy, didn't notice. The fast-food chain known for its signature Whopper burger posted adjusted earnings per share of 17 cents, up 6% from a year ago, and 2 cents over analysts' consensus estimates.
