(Nasdaq: VRSN) reported higher third quarter revenue and earnings of 47 cents per share compared with 36 cents per share in the year ago period but company's renewal contract with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers is still being reviewed by the Commerce Department. The stock price plummeted $8.71 to $37.89.
