Sherwin-Williams, PPG Agree To End Some Advertising
A pair of paint and coatings makers, Sherwin-Williams (SHW) and a unit of PPG Industries (PPG) that sells Pittsburgh Paints branded paints, have agreed to an FTC demand to stop advertising some of their paints as having zero-emissions chemicals. Sherwin Williams earlier Thursday released better-than-expected third quarter results. The company's earnings per share hiked 31% to $2.24, topping Wall Street's outlook by 4 cents.
