Indictment: Korea's Kolon Stole DuPont Kevlar Secrets
A U.S. grand jury charged South Korean conglomerate Kolon Industries with stealing trade secrets from DuPont (DD) on the making of Kevlar, a super-strong fiber used in everything from bicycle tires to bullet-resistant body armor. The government is seeking to seize $225 million, which it says are Kolon's gross sales of its rival Heracron fabric from January 2006 through June 2012.
