The current policy of major central banks around the globe has created an unprecedented low-rate environment that has perplexed even the most seasoned income-investors. With interested rates at home expected to remain low through 2015, many have been adding high-yielding bonds in addition to traditional dividend-paying equities in an effort to beef up their portfolio’s current income.
