OAK BROOK, Ill., Sept 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Federal Signal Corporation (NYSE:FSS) today announced that the City of Chicago has taken delivery of a command and control vehicle that features a fully integrated Federal Signal E-ONE truck body and chassis. This vehicle offers state-of-the- art emergency communications tools that continue to position Chicago as a leader in homeland security preparation, response and incident management. The City of Chicago will rely on the vehicle for the first time today in a major urban evacuation drill -- a first for a large American city.
The vehicle -- Chicago's Mobile Command Center -- will become a mobile base-of-operations for the City's Office of Emergency Management and Command (OEMC), if the OEMC headquarters is rendered inoperable.
