Wall Street Webcasting presents exclusive video of Rich Gordon, the highly regarded Fixed Income Market Strategist of Wells Fargo Securities (NYSE: WFC). Gordon discusses the disappointing payrolls report from Friday, as well as, what investors should monitor going into a potential third round of quantitative easing.
Regardless of how investors feel about quantitative easing, a QE3 would have significant implications for investors. Investors should watch the belly of the treasury curve. Gordon predicts that after QE3, there will be a steeper slope between the belly of the curve and longing. If QE3 happens the credit curve should flatten, mortgages should continue to outperform, commodities should continue to do well, and equities should outperform treasuries.
