Fort Hood Will See the Stars October 18th When the USO Hosts Its "Viva Las Vegas" Benefit Gala
PR Log - Aug 31, 2012 - Since 1941, the USO has focused its mission on lifting the spirits of America's Troops and their families with memorable events and entertainment. And that noble tradition lives on October 18th when the "Viva Las Vegas" Benefit Gala comes to the the Killeen Conference and Civic Center on behalf of nearby Fort Hood, Texas.
The Vintage Vegas themed evening includes Red Carpet photo sessions with notable celebrity lookalikes such as "Bob Hope", "Elvis" and "Marilyn Monroe". There will also be a silent auction benefiting the Fort Hood USO. In addition, party-goers will enjoy dinner and dancing to the Big Band sound of the Sinatra Nation Orchestra.
Highlighting the festive event will be keynote speaker, Wayne Newton - also known as "Mr. Las Vegas". His appearance will be accompanied by Master of Ceremonies "Bob Hope", played by William P. Johnson and a dazzling Rat Pack Tribute featuring renowned Sinatra vocalist Dave Halston.
