Ciena Corp. (Nasdaq: CIEN) reported a wider than expected loss for the third quarter of 30 cents per share compared with a loss of 33 cents per share in the year ago period and forecast current quarter revenue below estimates sending the stock price plummeting $3.12 to $13.61.
