PR Log - Aug 29, 2012 - Owings Mills, MD -- WilkinsonShein, a full service branding, marketing and public relations firm, today announced Mary Noyes Joynt, VP Strategic Marketing, has been named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Marketing Executive of the Year category in the 9th Annual International Business Awards. Mary and WilkinsonShein were honored for their work in developing and executing a fully integrated strategic marketing program for renewable energy client Standard Solar, which included a revamped website, print marketing materials, mobile website and an innovative social media campaign.
The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. The 2012 IBAs received entries from more than 50 nations and territories. More than 3,200 nominations from worldwide organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
This honor was the culmination of an exceptional year for WilkinsonShein, winning 23 awards from leading, international associations in multiple competitions for its creative work with Standard Solar. The firm has received top honors for its branding campaign, website design and development, and collateral development. In four international competitions, WilkinsonShein’s work beat thousands of entries worldwide, classifying the programs among the best communication materials of the year.
“To be recognized as a Bronze Stevie Winner for our marketing, creative and social media programs is extremely rewarding. Our underlying goal in developing and implementing Standard Solar’s comprehensive marketing campaign was to build a solid brand which would in turn significantly drive sales and positively impact their business objectives. We are very excited for WilkinsonShein’s work to not only have had such an impact on our client’s sales and success, but also to be recognized by multiple organizations as being among the best marketing and creative programs of the year,” said Mary Noyes Joynt, VP Strategic Marketing, WilkinsonShein Communications.
Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 300 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process this year.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Seoul, South Korea on 15 October.
“Entries to the IBAs grew substantially this year,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “Despite slow economic conditions in much of the world, the quality of nominations was outstanding, demonstrating that there are many companies that are innovating and growing regardless. We’re looking forward to celebrating this year’s Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie winners at our gala event in Seoul on 15 October.”
