Zing Toys, a Portland-based toymaker, took aim at a simple goal: Get kids to turn off the TV, get up off the couch, and go outside to play with kid-powered toys that don't require batteries. Now the force of a pop-culture phenomenon is helping Zing land its biggest opportunity to date by driving sales of its Z-Curve Bow.
