Barnes & Noble Announces A Quick Bite from Lynsay Sands’ Argeneau Vampire Series As the Latest Spotlight Pick

Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE: BKS), the leading retailer of content, digital media and educational products, today announced that A Quick Bite from Lynsay Sands’ Argeneau Vampire series, will be featured as the latest pick for “Barnes & Noble Spotlight” (www.bn.com/spotlight), a NOOK Book program that features great writers at irresistible prices. Twice a month, Barnes & Noble Spotlight picks an author of a popular or breakout series from various genres and offers one of their titles at a special price, helping NOOK® readers discover new authors and dive into an exciting series for a wallet-friendly price. From August 25 through September 7, Barnes & Noble’s NOOK Bookstore will offer A Quick Bite for only 99 cents.

A Quick Bite is the story of Lissianna Argeneau and her centuries-long search for Mr. Right. But there’s another major issue at play here - Lissianna has a tendency to faint at the sign of blood, an especially big problem for a vampire. Lissianna’s mother is determined to cure her daughter of her irrational fear of blood, so she kidnaps a psychologist named Gregory Hewitt and presents him to Lissianna in the hopes that he can cure her. But is it possible for the good doctor to find true love with this Vampire Vixen, or will he become just another meal for her and her family?

A Quick Bite is a prequel to the previous three books in the Argeneau Vampire series, which follows vampires and their lovers through the obstacles they have to overcome to be together. Each book in the series features a different hero and heroine. Lynsay Sands is a New York Times bestselling author of several popular series, including The Rogue Hunter series and The Devil of the Highlands series. Presently, she is working on the latest book in the Argeneau Vampire series, titled Immortal Ever After.

Spotlight features titles from different genres including popular romance, young adult and fiction. Customers who “like” NOOK on Facebook (www.facebook.com/nook) and follow NOOK on Twitter (www.twitter.com/nookbn) will be among the first to hear about the Spotlight picks.

NOOK Books that are featured in Barnes & Noble Spotlight, along with the more than 2.5 million other NOOK Books, magazines and newspapers available, can be purchased and read on the award-winning NOOK line of devices, which includes the recently introduced and critically-acclaimed NOOK Simple Touch with GlowLight.
